dotProject, an open source web application for project management. The very first version of PMango was implemented as an additional module for dotProject 1.0.2. Since May 2006 PMango is an independent application that reuses part of dotProject 2.0 code.

Tools and libraries used in PMango
Being PMango a L/WAMP, it is mandatory to link Apache, MySQL and PHP. Apart of these, references to more specific tools and libraries used in the implementation of PMango are in the following (all but XAMPP inherited from dotProject).
XAMPP, the suggested platform to set up and manage a PMango server. XAMPP is an Apache distribution containing MySQL and PHP.
AdoDB, an open source database abstraction library for PHP. AdoDB is used in PMango to access the MySQL database.
GACL, an open source PHP library for access management. GACL is used in PMango to implement different capabilities for users and groups.
PEAR, an open source utility library for PHP. PEAR is used in PMango mainly for management of time and calendar.
JpGraph, an object-oriented library for graph creation in PHP. JpGraph is used in PMango to draw effort profiles and Gantt charts.
